Consolidated net profit of CHF 142.9 million – Assets under management up from CHF 47 billion in 2008 to CHF 49.1 billion in 2009 – The contribution from the Capital Markets business to gross operating income increased 12% from CHF 97.9 million in 2008 to CHF 109.8 million in 2009. Crédit Agricole (Suisse) SA's 2009 results reflect the Bank's ability to withstand an adverse environment, amid a year of contrasting performances still deeply marked by the economic and financial crisis.

Capital adequacy disclosure
In accordance with Note 5 of FINMA circular 2008/22, Crédit Agricole (Suisse) SA is no longer subject to the disclosure requirements set forth in that circular, since comparable information is published on an annual basis by the Calyon Group (cf. 2008 registration document and annual report, pp 96 to 107, available online at www.calyon.fr) and on a half-yearly basis by the Crédit Agricole Group S.A. (cf. Half-year financial report at 30 June 2009 available at http://finance.credit-agricole.com).

Annual Report 2008
The results obtained by Crédit Agricole Suisse in 2008 amid the economic and financial crisis reflect the Bank's ability to withstand an adverse environment. Year on year, operating income rose 4.9% and gross profit was up 5.7%. Consolidated net profit, though affected by crisis-related provisions, came in at a highly satisfactory CHF 227 million. Net new money amounted to CHF 2.5 billion.

Born in 1957 Thomas Wittlin graduated in advanced commercial studies from Lausanne University in 1979 and went on to earn his licence from the Swiss Banking School (1998) and an Executive MBA in General Management (2008).
